It's difficult to imagine such a peaceful environment in such a central location, however, the Cromwell House Nursing Home manages to provide a relaxing atmosphere for its residents through the combination of attractive surroundings with happy, friendly, dedicated staff.

Cromwell House offers 31 comfortable en-suite rooms each equipped and furnished to a high standard including television, nurse call system and telephone point. Residents are more than welcome to furnish their rooms with personal belongings so long as it complies with fire, health and safety regulations. Communal lounge and dining rooms are open for residents to socialise or entertain visitors; a lift system is available for the less mobile as well as electronic hoists. Here at Cromwell House we promote independence where required whilst the comfort and dignity of our residents are of paramount importance.

Are the Staff Fully Qualified?

Yes, and their training is regularly updated.

Is It Really 24 Hour Nursing Care?

Care assistants work shifts to cover a 24 hour period and a registered nurse is always on duty at all times.







Are There Regular Inspections at the Home?

The commission for Social Care Inspectorate carry out twice yearly inspections.

Are There Any Activities Provided?

We have an activities organiser in place who arranges outside entertainment as well as one to one activities such as arts and crafts, reading, knitting and music.

What Is Included in the Fees?

Our fees are competitive, payable monthly and include all nursing care needs, all laundry, incontinence requirements, food and entertainment. Any extra costs would be visiting professionals such as a chiropodist, hairdresser, or any personal needs, newspapers etc.

Is There a Choice of Menu?

Yes, all individual and special dietary needs are catered for. Our Housekeeper visits residents each day to take meal orders and discuss needs. We are very obliging and take pride in being able to offer a personal service.
