Radiesse, formerly known as Radiance, is the first calcium hydroxylapatite injectable cohesive implant used for soft tissue augmentation. Over the last seven years, Radiesse has proven to be a safe and effective alternative for those patients wishing to avoid the potential side effects of bovine and solid implant materials. Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a biocompatible carboxymethylcellulose gel. It is long lasting and does not require a skin test because it is the same mineral component found in our bones and teeth.

Aquamicd is a revolutionary new product for aesthetic surgery. Aquamid is a completely transparent gel containing 97.5% water and 2.5% crosslinked polymer. This unique gel is injected under the skin of the face wih a fine needle, where it immediately fulfils its purpose. Aquamicd is a non-resorbable, lasting injectable implant for facial corrections.

A mild anaesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated and left on for around 30 minutes. The filler is then injected using a very fine needle into the skin beneath the wrinkle. For lips, a dental block can be used if you prefer. Results are visible immediately. The filler dissolves naturally over a period of months.

The fillers we use are non-toxic, non-allergenic products, which do not contain any animal ingredients. They have all been used safely on thousands of patients over many years. Side effects are minimal, though you should expect a little discomfort whilst being injected, and you may experience some short term bruising and swelling afterwards. If you wear make-up you should avoid doing so until the day afterwards.

Often, as we get older, we can develop facial folds and creases and some areas of the face may appear hollow.

Radiesse is a long lasting injectable implant/dermal filler, which is composed of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, suspended in a gel carrier. These microspheres, once injected, provide a scaffolding, into which the body's own tissue can grow, thereby maintaining the implant in place.

The procedure for administering Radiesse is straightforward and will take around 15-30 minutes. It involves simple injections to the area being treated. Prior to the injections a local anaesthetic may be administered to eliminate pain.

After the procedure, some patients resume normal activities immediately, although others prefer to wait for 24 hours, as swelling or redness may occur at the site of the injection.

Depending on the area being treated, patients will usually see results that last between 1-2 years. However, individual results may vary, depending on a number of factors including age, lifestyle and skin type.

The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm simply supplements the body's age-depleted hyaluronic acid to plump-up the lip or to raise the skin and 'fill in' the particular wrinkle being treated and has three major benefits.

Juvederm is available in three different formulas:

Used for filling fine lines and fine wrinkles. When injected into the superficial dermis, the fluid version, Juvederm 18, fills fine wrinkles such as crow's feet or peri-oral wrinkles.

Used for forehead wrinkles and moderate furrows. When injected into the middle dermis, the dense version, Juvederm 24, effectively fills forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines, obvious mild to moderate nasal furrows and cheek wrinkles.
